February's Son is the second in a series of novels featuring a Glasgow police officer named Harry McCoy, although this could be read as a stand alone novel it is certainly worth reading 'Bloody January' first to see how the characters have developed. Its 1970s Glasgow and Harry once again gets himself involved with crime gangs in order to solve a serious of grisly murders. What we like about Harry is he is a loveable rogue with a past. This past is entangled in this novel and pushes Harry to his very limits. The characters are very believable in the novel and I found it fast paced and difficult to put down. I would highly recommended and can't wait for the next thrilling instalment, due in March I believe!
