Having not read the first book in the series (Bloody January) I was a bit cautious about reading - would I be able to follow the plot/understand and relate to the characters? However I was proven wrong, it was a brilliant read, which was fast paced and difficult to put down! It was a well thought out crime thriller, that had several good twists that I was not expecting. The setting in 1970s Glasgow was a perfect choice. I liked how the characters developed throughout and how they still have the potential to develop further in the upcoming books.
Of course, it would be so much better having read the first book! It is on my list to read next! I am also eagerly anticipating the next book in the series!
