Absolutely loved this book, more than the first one which I thought would be difficult! February's Son is set in 1970s Glasgow and once again features the loveable rogue Harry McCoy of the Glasgow police. The novel is relentless in its rhythm and I found it difficult to put down, a series of gruesome murders lead McCoy, Murray and 'Wattie' on a chase that will not only test them to the limit but also reveal a sinister past which is woven throughout the book. What I like about the book is because its set in a couple of weeks in the 1970s there is no technology that would be used today so Harry needs to use all his resources, wether fair or foul to solve the case and get his man. Roll on the next book!
