This is book 2 in a series but I haven’t read number 1 - I would definitely recommend reading the first one first (funny that 🤪) as I do feel like there was a lot of background missing. I’ve got number 3 ready to read but think I need to backtrack!
Despite not having all the background information, it was a really good read - however I don’t feel I am justify a quality review without reading number one first.
I loved the crime scene descriptions and the way the characters are with one another but it’s hard to judge the real way that the MC is because of then lack of history (from book 1) - this book would have been a lot more enjoyable had it been made easier to read as a stand-alone.
