I hadn't realized when i entered the draw that this was the second novel featuring DI Harry McCoy. It became clear when reading as there were a few references where I realised maybe this part of a series and wished i'd knew before i started as really enjoyed it but i felt that i was missing parts of the story.
I would say this book would not be for everyone as it is quite dark and graphic and definitely not for the faint hearted as it goes into a alot of gory detail which some people may find uncomfortable
it is set in the 70s and focus alot on the interactions between the police and the criminal groups and portays a main character which is not that likable but for some reason I couldnt help but side with him.
Im looking forward to reading more by Alan Parks
