I wasnt sure what to expect from this book, having never read a MCoy thriller before. As it was the 2nd book I thought I might struggle to understand the storyline. Boy was I in for a shock it was easy to follow, a fantastically written crime thriller. Very strong characters, set in Glasgow in winter time. There is a murderer a foot who likes to carve messages into his victims. Gangs that are fighting to be top dog. Bent coppers, a doctor who appears to have lost the plot. This book has it all. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. I was gripped from the start to finish. It is certainly not for the faint hearted as there is a fair bit of blood and guts. If your looking for a good crime story, I would definitely recommend this one
