This was my first adventure with Alan Parks' character, Detective Harry McCoy, and I loved it!
Set in the mean streets of Glasgow, McCoy has a dangerous and nasty case to deal with. Bodies with carvings in their chests are being found around his turf and he and his team have a short time to find the killer before the pile grows higher.
Between Harry's old "gangster" friends and the local "weirdo" he has a lot to deal with and trying hard to keep his private and work life seperate, his search will take him down some painful roads both physically and mentally, with old trauma rising to the surface.
A great book which I was luck enought to win and I'm pleased to have found Alan Parks. I have purchased the first in the series which I am looking forward to getting stuck into.
