This is the second book in a series by Alan Parks. The first being Bloody January. haven't read the first so this can be read as a stand alone. Detective McCoy is called back to work early after a period of leave when a celtic footballer is found dead, who was also engaged to the daughter of a gang leader. This gang leader tells them that it was Connolly who had an obsession with his daughter. With more bodies piling up with messages carved into their chest and rival gangs flooding the city, Detective McCoy's past comes back to haunt him. This is a griping novel and makes me want to read more from the author. I recommend this series to anyone who loves a good thriller that keeps you on edge to the final page.
