I have very much enjoyed reading the first look of Februarys son by Alan Parks.
The story begins with the committing of what seems a gruesome crime by an unknown person told in the first person.
The book is set in 1970's Glasgow.
I find the character of McCoy very gritty and what I would expect from a disillusioned old school copper and the character of Murray balances out McCoys pessimistic and grumpy personality.
The beginning grabbed me instantly and left me wanting to find out more.
I enjoy the noir genre, I find the writing style very interesting and feek the scene the writer Alan Parks is trying to convey very believable and took me in my mind to the streets of Glasgow.
