This crime fighting novel is set in Scotland with a gruesome murder. The style of writing is descriptive, detailing the gruesome murder vividly with more to come I’m sure if the blurb is anything to go by. The writing also adds to the imagery of the characters with the use of Scottish words.
The plot seems to have a good way to go with lots of questions and a who dunnit plot to be foiled. Early on the police seem to have a suspect but I’m unsure this crime will be so easily solved early on.
The main characters to the story are your average slimy lawyer, common gangster and police with a grudge to bear but the characters work well together and play the story out well.
I don’t think this book gripped me as much as I hoped but it is still a well thought out novel.
