If you enjoy dark crime novels then this is a good book to read. The characters are well thought out and the story is easy to follow. It can be quite dark at times and the language is quite coarse. However, the author has managed to set the scene well and I could picture Glasgow in great detail from the author's writing.
Harry McCoy is a good strong lead character with a troubled past. The killer comes across as very cold blooded and the plots twists and turns really kept me gripped and wanting to read more. As a whole the characters worked well together and the story flowed well.
This is the sequel to Bloody January, however, having not read this, February's Son works quite well as a stand alone book as well. Can't wait to read more from this series!
