Very dark and exciting
I’ve really enjoyed this book - Harry McCoy makes a brilliant book detective.
I loved the dynamic between him and his mate Cooper and the descriptive of all Coopers cronies especially Jumbo.
I also found it interesting how he fit in with the criminals as well as the coppers.
I really thought Wattie had died in the river. The writing is fantastic.
However I do feel that you need to have read the first book to truly understand what is happening. There were references that I did not understand and possibly I would have if I had read the first book.
On the home I would definitely read more books written by this author and I would look out for them in the book shops. An interesting read.
