This is the first time that I've read a book by this author.
This is book two in the series. Harry McCoy #2.

The cover, title and blurb has you very curious and desperate to read more.
This story is set in 1973 in Glasgow. Harry McCoy is a detective and he's been asked to lead an investigation of a murder. This victim has connections to the gang boss and Harry McCoy has more problems. Although detective Harry has his own problems too and he has alot of struggles himself with the past and present.
The bodies start to pile up with weird mutilated bodies, and their is maybe some corruption in the police force. (NO SPOILERS)
This book is full of twists and turns and shocks and it does keep you guessing.
There is murder, crime, gangs and drugs with alot of violence. Harry McCoy is a tormented soul and his judgement is sometimes questionable yet understandable. I liked Harry and I sometimes felt quite sorry for him, it's a very tough job.

This author has a great writing style and it was hard to put down this dark, creepy and twisty read. This author has a great ability to help you imagine a scene and you can easily picture it, this book is very thought provoking gripping book.
This book is a page turner and will hold your attention, my only concern is that sometimes it was a tad far fetched, but is still a great read.
This book is a great crime thriller and this book makes for an interesting read and could make a great film.

Thank you to the author and publishers for allowing me to read an early copy of this book.

This book is expected to be released 31at January 2020.
