A cold and gloomy winter in Glasgow in the 1973, police officer, Harry McCoy investigates a series of murders where the killer brutally leaves messages carved into his victims chests. He is called first to a crime scene to find a dead football player who's fiancé happens to be the daughter of an old Glaswegian gang leader, who also happens to be McCoy's old friend Stevie Cooper. Could the killer be connected to Cooper?

Having never read the first in the McCoy series I didn't feel I needed to have done as February's Son is perfect as a stand alone. From reading February's Son by the author Alan Parks I am excited to read more of McCoy's stories; I'm a sucker for a crime thriller and this story has everything from murders, a corrupt police system and a whole bunch of double crossing!

Give it a go if you like your crime fiction! Alan Parks is an author to watch!
