Not my favourite, I was really looking forward to reading this as it really sparked my interest, but I found that I was really disappointed. The writing didn’t keep me particularly engaged, and I found I couldn’t picture the characters in my head, which is particularly important for me- especially in the first integral paragraph where most of the initial action happened. The actual writing style was quite basic, I didn’t find it gripping enough to keep my attention.
I found the back stories of both Kate and Zain interesting the first instance, but they became more and more frustrating to me as the story went on as they slowed down a lot of the action that seemed to have been put on the backburner for these characters to have the lime light.
Overall, it wasn’t a horrific book by any means, it just didn’t live up to what I thought it was going to give me.
