This was definitely an unusual choice for me, as I have never read anything like this before. I'm almost exclusively a fiction reader. However, I actually really enjoyed it.

Living through 2020-2021 has been difficult for everyone, and I've certainly had my own challenges, and I felt that this was the sort of book I needed in order to re-assess how I'm living my life.

I really liked that it was written by a doctor and that the advice was based on science, and that science was explained (in layman's terms). I definitely learned something in every chapter and have been quoting it at my husband when he doesn't get enough sleep/doesn't eat properly, etc.!

Readers should note, and both the cover and the blurb keep this quiet, that there is a religious aspect to the book. To be fair, I would have been much more reluctant to read it had I known this in advance but on reflection I'm glad I didn't because it's by no means the focus and does make it more personal - it's clearly an important part of the author's life, so why shouldn't it be included. Anyway, don't let it put you off. This is an informative, well-written and easy-to-read guide to a healthier life and I would recommend it.
