I was very intrigued with this book and was looking forward to reading it to gain a better understanding of my overall health and wellbeing to be able to make some positive changes.

I enjoyed how compact the chapters are with clearly defined sections where you can easily refer back to for reference which I have done a couple of times, especially at bedtimes when I am struggling to sleep or switch-off which I found a good way to retrain the mind to stop worrying so much and focus on the important task of breathing and being in the moment which I really struggle to do.

The author is Christian and Christianity is brought up throughout but isn't over the top, I myself do not have a specific type of faith and thought this was going to be too preachy but it wasn't. It was important for the author to raise the subject as this is the way he lives his life and had to put it into context.

I would recommend the book to others who would like a book for reference that is concise and offers good advice in ways to reset your way of thinking and focus on the more important aspects of life that keeps us fit and healthy, including mentally not just physically.

I wouldn't say it's life-changing but the author admits this and it is all about what you put in as to what you get out of it but I did pick up some pointers that help and stays with me so even if you get one or two useful ideas then it's worth it.
