I like the cover and the blurb but the book as a whole doesn't feel all that original. The illustrations are lovely but the story itself feels a bit short and repetitive. I'm not sure how engaging it would be for children but as an adult, I got bored while reading it and the surprise at the end wasn't all that surprising. I feel that this book is the type of book you'd probably read once and then give away. I don't think it has the makings of a classic.
