Doesn't quite work

For me, the rhythm and rhyming in the book doesn't quite work for me.
I'm comparing it to the five little ducks song, and this one just feels clunky.
I think the illustrations are nice, and my dad would have loved reading this to his grandchildren as he loved penguins, but for me it doesn't quite work, sorry
