This is great fun to read through with a toddler. It has popular features such as a great rhythm, distinctive individuals, flaps to lift, counting, Christmas features, remembering details, falls and other slapstick fun. The story is charmingly preposterous with a mother penguin having no fewer than 5 anthropomorphic chicks and, strangely, wandering around in a Northern hemisphere landscape. This will not alarm the intended audience.
