Initially the Penguins caught my eye as who doesn’t love funny animals getting up to all sorts of shenanigans in their stories? On reading the first few pages digitally, I was impressed by the detailed illustrations and how the author has adapted a well-known counting story to incorporate penguins! Poetic prose is always a winner for children books as it enhances the reading experience to make it fun and catchy - a good way to learn the very basics of counting/maths as well. Overall, a lovely little addition to any child’s library!
