A classic story about a mother losing one child at a time until they are all gone …..and then finding them all again!
The pictures are stylised, like in Charlie Mackey’s book The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse, and I’m not sure how easy it will be for a small child to differentiate between the different animals.
Obviously, the beauty of this type of book is all in the ‘feel’ especially with the flip ups etc so difficult to review after having just viewed it on screen.
I would very much like to handle it IRL.
