This is a variation of the 5 Little Ducks song (where they went out one day and only four came back, then three, then two and so on). Flaps on each page are in the right place, adding an additional layer of fun to the telling of the story. Nothing new or out of the ordinary here, but children seemed to enjoy it and find it engaging and we all had lots of fun reading it. Can't see what else anyone would want or expect from a children's book. Only downside is that it might get a bit repetitive so can't read it time and time again like you would with some other more classic children's stories. This is probably the only reason it doesn't get five stars. Would recommend to anyone with children under 5 who are looking for some easy, light hearted fun which is predictable and right in the middle of the proverbial beaten track but is still a good laugh nonetheless.
