What an adorable book to give to a child for Christmas (or anytime). This is a lovely book to share with a child and it has a lot of learning opportunities in it.
The illustrations are clear and inviting. The story simple but meaningful. I would recommend any parent of a young child to share it with them.
I think the surprise of a 'lift the flap' book is good for a child although the flaps often need repairing. This could be a bestseller for Christmas, it would be a great stocking filler.
When reading this book it is fun to see what the penguins get up to in the story. Educationally it is good for counting, colour recognition, memory training; it also encourages the child to anticipate what will happen in the story.
