I was really pleased to receive a copy of Five Little Penguins to review - my apologies for the ridiculous delay in getting this review written and posted! I had wondered if my daughter might now be a little too old to enjoy this book but she found it delightful and enjoyed the illustrations in particular. This would make a lovely gift for a young child and is one that I think could be revisited annually for the first few Christmases and make a lovely addition to the bookshelf. There’s a lot of counting books out there so it’s difficult for authors and illustrators to really set themselves apart and have something new so you have to go for quality which I believe they have easily achieved. More books on a similar theme but in different settings would be lovely and make a nice series for parents, family and friends to buy or gift to little ones.
