"Five little penguins" is a beautifully illustrated children's picture book. It is a Christmas book so I think it would make a good Christmas present or even better an early Christmas present! Five little penguins is a lift the flap book. There are lots and lots of flaps, which is great to get children exploring and engaged with the story. The only potential negative I can see is that the book is made of paper so I fear if not watched closely my younger child might just rip the flaps off! I think it would be best suited for three to four year olds. Five little penguins is a nice story based around counting. I haven't seen another children's book quite like it with all of the flaps to lift and peak under. Overall, I really like this book. In my opinion this is a lovely children's picture book and I will be getting copies to give as presents this Christmas.
