The Five Little Penguins is a beautifully illustrated book, the story is a simple one but beautifully told with a penguin going missing after each page that you have to try and find.
Both my children loved this book, my youngest is 3, she loved lifting the flaps to find the penguins. My eldest is 7, she too enjoyed lifting the flaps but she also enjoyed reading the story by herself and admired the artwork.
The book is not too short and not too long, just the right length to keep children entertained and engaged with the story, the interaction with the flaps helps with this.
I would recommend this book to anyone with young children, it would suit readers who are beginners as well as those slightly older children who can enjoy reading it by themselves as well as being read too. Younger children who can’t yet read can still enjoy the book by following the pictures.
