This looks such a beautiful book, I want to buy it for my granddaughter. Penguins are always really cute and the illustrations here are just gorgeous. It is great for parents to read to little kids and help them lift the flaps and discover what is underneath. Lots to talk about with the child too and it has a good educational element to it, then when the child is older, they can read it themselves, so it should last them a good few years. I would say it's suitable from birth (with parents' help) to about five or six years of age. The counting element of the book is great too, as you can keep counting the penguins, so it is great for helping young children with the ideas of basic mathematics. All in a fun way, of course, that children will love. Who doesn't love a cute, but educational, book about five little penguins! Highly recommended for families.
