This was such a sweet little book which I absolutely love. There's a clear rhythm to the book, and playing as it does on the traditional nursery rhyme of the five little ducks (with a Christmas twist) it will be familiar to most if not all children, allowing them to get involved in its telling. The pictures are really sweet and the flaps are a nice touch, making this a story that I'd gravely enjoy reading with my children. The length is good, as sometimes books with flaps take a lot time to read and delays bedtime, but this one is a very reasonable length, meaning no rushing is required and you have time to pause and discuss the pictures with your child. I also loved the little twist at the end, I thought it was a really lovely idea and captures the Christmas spirit perfectly. It was a delight to read and I look forward to sharing it with my kids soon.
