This is a beautiful picture book that would be perfect for any child , it is also lovely to share with an adult. I love looking at children's books especially ones that have such beautiful illustrations. this is especially appealing because it has little flaps that you lift up so that you can find the penguins. This makes it good to engage with the child and have so much fun. This has a Christmas theme so would make an excellent Christmas present. The colours are lovely and wintry and although the story is quite simple it is still engaging. Basically, a mother penguin has lost her children and you go on an adventure to find them under the flaps. Each flap has a little rhyme and there's a lovely surprise at the end. It is always good to find good illustrations, it can make the story so special. This would make an excellent beautiful gift. It is also a good size.
