This is a really lovely book. My grandsons aged 2 and 4 throughly enjoyed having it read to them and wanted it again and again, soon as I finished, I started again.
The pictures are really nice and bright and colourful.
They especially liked lifting up the flaps, they good thing about the flaps were that they lifted easily, a lot don’t seem to be cut right and can end up with torn flaps.
The story I thought was quite sad and I felt really sorry for mummy penguin taking her babies out and then finding she was one little one less each time she got home but thankfully it ended well.
My grandsons very often lose interest in a book as you are reading to them but they engaged so well with this one because of knowing they were going to be able to open another flap but we tried to guess what was under it first.
