Five Little Penguins by Lily Murray and Holly Surplice is a great little book for young readers.
The book is beautifully illustrated with lots of bright and colourful pictures throughout. The use of “lift up” flaps will keep young children interested and entertained as well as allowing them to “explore” the pages and I’m sure that this will lead to the book being read and re-read time and time again.
The story itself is a lovely one which is both easy to read if you are young and easy to read to a child or children. Setting the story at Christmas time is also a master stroke and the ending is great.
Are there any negatives to this book? In all honesty there are none that I can find.
