This is a really lovely lift the flap book. I read it with my 18month old, he seemed to enjoy it although I had to be careful that he didn't pull the flaps off. I will probably save it now for when he's a bit older as i think he will really enjoy finding all the penguins and the other animals. What i liked is there is the main story which you can read or sing and then there's also lots of other bits to find and details on each page. There's a really massive flap on the last page too. The illustrations are really beautiful too and very detailed. It might work nicely as a board book for younger kids rather than paper but i do think slightly older kids would enjoy it too. I would definitely look out for similar titles or others in this range as it is a very special book. Definitely one that will become a bit of a favourite later on i would say. This would make a really nice Christmas gift.
