This book is beautiful. The illustrations are pleasing, with cute likeable characters in a nice snowy setting, you can’t help but smile. The flaps are perfect for little fingers and my older child enjoyed teaching the baby how they work.
It’s a lovely rhythmic story that’s fun to read out loud and will definitely become a festive favourite in our house. My 4 year old could read some of it herself but without finding it boring. I’ve put it away with the decorations now and am already looking forward to my children re-discovering it next year. Christmas books are a joyous part of the season for us, and this one is different to anything else we’ve got. I’d definitely recommend it and might by it as a gift for godchildren next year.
The cover is a good portrayal of the story and would appeal to me in a shop in December. I hope it’s a popular Christmas read.
