A really sweet book that follows a family of penguins in their little adventure. The illustrations are really cute and the rhyme that follows the story is really well written. A similar story to others within the rhyme makes it popular as it is well known. The cover illustration is also really lovely.
The tie in to Christmas is really sweet and would make a good Christmas Eve read for children. However, this also means it is seasonal and not readable throughout the year, meaning it is only reached for around Christmas. Aside from that there are similar stories that could be read throughout the other months of the year until this one can be read.
This was donated to a nursery a relative works at and the children seemed to really enjoy the story especially the pop up aspect of the book.
