I read this with my 5 year old daughter and we loved it. We read it before bed and it was perfect book to help her go to sleep. My daughter enjoyed the pictures of the animals and the colours used. I especially loved the illustrations and thought the penguins were so gorgeous. We both participated with the opening of the flaps. I thought it was beautifully written and the pictures matched the beautiful words. We enjoyed all the characters and thought it was a good choice of animals and the setting of the animals was gorgeously designed. Perfect book for winter and a great book for a Christmas gift too. I will definitely be reading this story as a regular fixture to our bedtime routine and will be recommending it to other mothers at my daughters school who also probably has a child not wanting to go to sleep.I hope to read more books by this author and illustrator.
