An exciting combination of Robin Hood and female angst!
I've been immediately drawn in. There is not a huge amount of visual description but I can see a wild, bleak and grey coastline with a whipping wind, a little Poldark-esque!
Simply written but the angst in Jenny is tangible from the first page and I feel the angst too.
Mary Bryant's story is begging for a novel and I can see clear screen adaptations for this too.
I would have picked this up seeing the contrast between the female bust and the contrast of the 'masculine' roles on the cover.
Looking forward to reading this a lot.
