I enjoy historic novels and stories that are based on fact, having Jenny being 'Mary Bryant' comes across well. I enjoyed the first few chapters of this book especially with it starting off at see and half way through the story.
Understanding where Jenny comes from and why she is so different amongst the village helps you understand why she has ended up doing what she does. Supporting her family but at what cost?
