From the first paragraph we're swept away to a high rock with a strange house where magic and mystery are unfolding.
The setting is delightful, the characters are interesting and the arrival of what seems to be a celestial being of some sort adds to the fun!
With a cruel mother, a downtrodden father and an attic full of stuffed owls there is much here to explore and I was sad to reach the end of the first look.
