The cover of this book promises so much, and from the first read I know it is going to deliver. The cover is magical and I love the delicate feather representing The Fledgling Cherub landing on her eiderdown and bringing with it something magical or something sinister.
The fact the book is set in Bavaria adds a little something mystical and fascinating to the story, as does her aging grandmother, opera singing mother and rundown tumbling house with all its secrets and memories.
A refreshing change from the usual style of books at the moment, and one that I would love to read.
