It feels like the start of a quaint little folktale. I havent read any books or lore on cherubs so would be interesting to see how this is interpreted. I'm also really curious about Cassie & her mother, as well as Raphael. Obviously there is more to Raphael - he knows a lot more than he is telling and he may be some form of angel as well. Cassie's mother is another intriguing character. Dont know enough yet to say whether she's good or bad (or just very selfish) but shes seems troubled and thus very interesting. I also wonder about the owls - why the insistence from the grandparents on keeping them? What is their significance? Curious to see if/where they fall within the Angel Lore.
