Fledgling tells the story of a girl who lives in a very curious house built by her great great Grandfather. Lots of secrets are held within its walls. One day a Cherub appears and mysterious and frightening events start to unfold. The book is very nicely written with lots of description. It is easy to read too and didn't take me long to get through. The story is very different to books I usually read. It seemed an original idea, which I liked. However I felt it took along time to get to the real action of the book and then it was over. I also felt that there were some questions that weren't answered at the end. Overall I was a bit disappointed with this book but I liked that it was easy to read, a bit different and that I certainly could not guess the ending! I would read future books from this author. I wonder if there will be a sequel to Fledgling or if the story is finished now.
