Fledgling is a lovely story that I didn't want to put down. It follows the life of Cassie who one day has a cherub enter her life and she's left wondering why until she discovers some family secrets that might lead her to her answer.
I really enjoyed this book and the mystery surrounding the story was fascinating and unlike anything I've read before. I like the relationship we got to see between Cassie and her friend Raphael and it was good to see how supportive her friend was even though her family could be challenging at times with them all being so busy in their different ways. Other characters were more mysterious and I like how I was left guessing about their motives until the very end.
The end of the story came as quite a surprise as I thought I'd guessed it by then but I love how the book keeps surprising you right to the very end. By the time I made it to the end though, I didn't want the book to finish! I really enjoyed this book and I'd definitely read more from this author in the future.
