I really enjoyed this book, I wasn’t sure what to expect based on the cover design.
Internally I love the page illustrations at the start of each chapter, they’re beautiful.
Although I’ve only read 30 pages I really liked this story. The author use of descriptive language really gets you hooked from the start.
Wow! The house on the hill is definitely somewhere I’d love to go and explore, what an amazing structure, you can really begin to image it as the author describes the quirkiness of it.
Although having only briefly met the 3 main characters I love the already I’m forming judgements of them, and I don’t like the mother - how rude!
The cover of the book is very striking, and as I said early doesn’t give too much away in terms of the storyline.
I would happily continue reading the book in full, and would love to know where the author will take us.
