Magical, wintery read

Such a magical and wholesome read! The story-line turned out to be a little different from what I'd predicted going in, but all in the best way!

The house at the top of the cliff/mountain that the main character resides in, sounded absolutely horrifying.. The house swaying with the wind, the steep drop down.. Not a fan of that personally, but it only helped to enhance the book's gothic vibes.

All things considered, my only qualm was that I wanted a little more of an explanation about the angels and their jobs, reasons for coming down etc, but considering this is meant to be a short middle-grade, i shall let it go.

I would, however, have liked it if the author had spent a few chapters resolving the main character's issues with her parents (like their negligence), instead of.. How it actually ended. Especially since this is a book for younger readers, and should really be setting a better example? Conclusion?

Overall, a cozy and wholesome read that would be perfect this winter for kids and adults alike! A story about a little girl, who on a stormy night, discovers a cherub that changes her life forever..
