I read this fragment with pleasure - it was like an invitation into the world where mystic events really can happen—a very emotional mystery tale for YA (but not only!!). Chapters are short, which can suggest great fun later. Maybe an author will use them as jumps from one point of view to another? It could build tension and give the most fantastic fun from reading. I love that kind of technique and emotions that can be created by it - they keep readers totally hooked, curiosity will not let them put the book down. Engaging, the story will keep the reader till the last page, the last paragraph.
I think it is a great book so far, very promising reading. Lovely cover and drawings at the beginning of the chapters. Giving the impression of the fantasy world which is already there. The story idea is definitely original, I think YA could really feel in love with this story.
