Originally of Kurdish origin from the Iranian province of Kermanshah, Joanna was always against patriarchal society and islamic wars. She always wanted to change the world but the price she paid for freedom against extremism and the consequences of joining the fight against the Islamic State group were something she couldn’t predict.
