hard read

I really enjoyed this book but it is a hard read. firstly it says that its a Danish lady who left and went to Syria but she is actually Syrian. I liked that it went into her being a refugee decades ago as i think that it is especially prominent now with refugees coming to Scotland. it as interesting to hear how she was treated when she was in Denmark and how her parents dealt with the big move. I must admit i am not quite finished the book but i think that Joanna Palani is an extremely brave woman who has dealt with a lot and hopefully her story positively changes the world. I will be passing this book on to friends to read to educate them further as i learnt a lot from this book. Would recommend.
