Heartwrenching
Reading the preview of this book close to brought tears to my eyes. The heroism depicted was powerfully conveyed and graphic descriptions left me feeling I was there during the main rescue scene. The commaradory between fighters is clear and admirable. It is scary to think that these are true memoirs of a story but 3 years ago.
Would I like to read the full book, most definitely. Is that because of my own interest in middle Eastern conflict, yes I'm sure. There are lots of acronyms and abbreviations that, in my view, disturb the flow and the use of technical terms can make the experience shared seem less relatable but still a very brave and honourable account I look forward to reading. I only hope that in the longer term I become more familiar with the vocab to make for easier reading!
