After these few pages I'm still struggling to sort out the different characters, all introduced at once. The writing is intelligent and forceful so I'd like to read more.
The plot is already rattling along with the excerpt ending on a shocking reveal. Shades of Agatha Christie! I'm not sure whether I'm going to love this story or hate it. I absolutely have to read more to find out.
